The Oxford Bibliographical Society was founded in 1922 to encourage bibliographical research. Membership has never been confined to members of the University or to Oxford residents but is open to all.

    The annual subscription, which runs from January to December, is currently as follows: Individuals £30 (€35, $45); Dual Membership (for two people sharing the same address) £35 (€40, $50); Subscribers (institutional) £40 (€60, $70); Life Membership £700 (€850, $950). Membership entitles members to one copy of each of the Society's publications appearing during their membership. On joining, new members will receive their choice of four monographs (one from the Third or Special Series and three from the New Series) and up to ten Occasional Publications from the list of past publications.

    A special student membership rate of £15 (€20 or $30) is also available. Proof of status (e.g. a copy of student ID) is required.
